References for steel and composite bridges
In Germany, components for steel and composite bridges can now be hot-dip galvanized. Scientific studies prove that hot-dip galvanizing is also suitable for dynamically stressed constructions, including road bridges. In addition, proof of theoretical corrosion protection for 100 years was also provided for the individually galvanized bridge components. Hot-dip galvanizing is therefore used as corrosion protection for the support structure, the arc structures and the side protective panelling in bridge construction.
